He enjoys studying languages both at school and his my free time, rollerblading, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and really loves singing (casually). A highlight from Liam’s NSLI-Y program experience was one memory that has stuck with him, it's having woke up every morning with tea and biscuits waiting for him, hearing both English and Indian-language pop songs blasting from his host brother's room. He and his host brother made every day a concert, constantly singing along to all of each other's favorite songs; they would even recite the Hanuman Chalisa together, making for a good story at get-togethers.

Some highlights from Smythe’s NSLI-Y program experience were using language skills that he learned in the classroom with everyone that he met on program. Additionally, afternoon cultural activities and time with my host family gave Smythe many memories well beyond his expectations!

Sofiya, Turkish
