Participate In A Virtual Event
At NSLI-Y Interactive Virtual Events, NSLI-Y students and alumni connect virtually with youth and classrooms in the U.S. to share experiences about language learning and life in their host country through presentations and facilitated discussions. NSLI-Y Interactive Virtual Events are held six times each year and are theme-based, focusing on language learning and cultural topics. All NSLI-Y Interactive Virtual Events are recorded and posted on the NSLI-Y Interactive site, so those who are not able to attend the live event can still watch the presentations later. All recordings can be viewed here.
NSLI-Y Interactive hosts two kinds of Virtual Events: Open Registration and School Connection.
- Open Registration events are free and open to the public, so anyone interested in joining the event and participating in the discussion can do so.
- School Connection events are free opportunities for current NSLI-Y students to connect with language classrooms in the U.S. and are usually conducted in the target language.
